"In my opinion it is such a travesty that, a few months ago, Proposition 8, in California, passed. Proposition 2, in Florida, passed. What is that about, everybody? We are taking away a birthright, if you ask me, for people to get the most out of the money that they have spent their lives working. Those people are making money. They pay taxes on the money. Every single one of us deserves to have the same financial benefits whether we are gay or whether we are straight. And therefore, we have got to do everything we can to turn that around. Every single one of us deserves to be loved. Every single one of us deserves to love. And every single one of us deserves to make the most of the money that we have. That's my Valentine's Day wish for every single one of us," - Suze Orman.
The argument against Prop 8 and for gay marriage should not be a financial debate. Gay rights and marriage is denied based purely on religious reasoning. The financial equality involved is not as important as the civil liberties for citizens. Gay marriage should not be won on a financial front, but instead the persuasion should be rooted in tolerance. Not W2s.

The Godfather
Arianna Huffington suggested that bloggers write their passions. Her page and many others organize the blogs into categories. My newest interest of the novel category is The Godfather. I cannot stop reading the book and I have insight that I am ready to share. Let me know if you have read the book or seen the movie.

Blogging explained
The great Jon Stewart sits down with Arianna Huffington of the Huffington Post. Stewart mentioned substitive concerns about blogging. I asked many of the same questions that Steward does in the interview. Watch the clip then check out the Huffington Post page.

Topics
Yesterday I was driving alone and I caught a fuzzy silhouette of a man with a shopping cart. I went through a progression of shopping carts and came to personal conclusions on who used shopping carts and the how different a situation can be depending on the items in the shopping cart. I then dismissed the line of thought that would not be of use in the future. Then I realized that it was blog gold. Blogs do not have to be perfectly thought out, but a forum for a writer to post otherwise useless thoughts. I did not completely understand the purpose of blogs, but I see the positives of public comments on thoughts that may never have been released.
